Don Johnson
Elected 2008 President
of Floyd County Chamber of Commerce
Don Johnson in October was elected
president of Floyd County (Va.) Chamber of Commerce, He will take office
on January 1.
A long-time member of
the chamber and a current board of directors member, he operates B. Don
Johnson Communication, a small public relations firm located in Floyd
County which primarily conducts pro bono work for local non-profits.
He is the retired
corporate communication manager for AEP's Appalachian Power Company, an
electric utility operating in Virginia and West Virginia and is a former
communication programs manager for GE. A founding member and past
president of the Blue Ridge Chapter of the Public Relations Society of
America, Johnson is an accredited member of the society.
With his wife, Donna,
he operates Blue Ridge Views, a nature and landscape photo business
based in Floyd <www.blueridgeviews.com>.
